About Our Salon

Hi ,my name is Donna Schumacher Davis , owner of 33 Baker Spa. In 1996 I opened 33 Baker because I needed a safer environment to work in . All the salons in Whitefish did artificial nails in the same room we did our clients and I was very sensitive to that odor . So after finding no salon that I could work in I realized I needed to create my own space. Spa's were just getting started and I was one of the very first in Montana . I started with my reputation and a good credit rating and headed to the bank . After securing a SBA loan and a dream I found the building - great parking , and lots of space that I could freshly remodel , so began the makings of 33 baker. I started with 4 stylists 1 nail technician , 1 massage therapist, a estitition and a receptionist plus 1700 square feet. The nail room is completely in a separate room with double ventilation . Because of demand I enlarged the nail room , added 5 more stylist , and another 1,000 square feet to complete 4 rooms for massage , facials , and a office/storage room. In total I have done 3 remodel jobs. We now can do 3 pedicure at the same time - have 3 nail stations , 9 stylist and a nice retail area along with the 4 rooms. 2 rooms have showers to accommodate body treatments and we also have 2 separate waxing rooms .

My team is like a family , we work well with each other and always share ideas or help with education . We attend at least one major show in cities like Chicago , New York , Vegas , Vancouver , Calgary and attend hands on training when they come to Montana. Education has always been a priority for my team , we stay current in color techniques and the latest style and cut that is out . We have been published in many major magazines for our work . Magazines such as Inspire , Sophisticuts , Modern , Short Cuts, Grand Chic out of Milan Italy and many more. We donate hair to Locks of Love, do fund raisers for cancer , food banks , and other community projects such as donations for Christmas city lights , 4th of July fire works , schools , sports and personal fundraisers.

With 14 years under our belt we continue to grow. We have been voted as Whitefish best service for 5 years in a row . We are a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis .
